My approach to this online course stems from my deep appreciation for the importance of knowledge. As a former biology professor, I recognized the food crisis in America and the scientific reasons why home cooking is better for our health. However, knowledge alone isn't enough—people need practical know-how. That's why I developed the "Wok with Tak" project. This project offers practical applications to help you cook all your meals from scratch with fresh ingredients, bringing our diet back to its natural state. At the same time, I've designed a cooking system for modern lifestyles, where most people have only 30 minutes or less to spend in the kitchen. This online cooking course will help you achieve both objectives: eating healthy and being efficient.

About Tak

Flavor is his passion

Tak loves flavor!  As the saying goes, we're drawn to flavor before we're drawn to food, and Tak follows this mantra religiously, even if his cooking credentials are limited to the School of Hungry Students.


Tak is a former college biology professor with 30 years of experience in teaching and immunology research.  During his college years, Tak honed his culinary skills working in restaurants, including as a cook in a Chinese restaurant, where he learned that the secret ingredient to any dish is how you ‘do not set off the smoke alarm in the kitchen.”’


Over time, Tak realized that many Americans need a healthier diet they can prepare themselves. However, the biggest obstacle is often time, and maybe a lack of interest in eating vegetables. In his retirement, Tak created the FAST Cooking System for his own use, combining speed, efficiency, and flavor. After seeing great success with the system, he decided to share it with others.


What began as a personal hobby has now become his passion: promoting the FAST Cooking System to help Americans adopt healthier, more wholesome eating habits—one wok at a time!
